Obituary

Glenn Hall passed away Mar. 4, 2017, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, while recovering from heart surgery. He was born Jan. 21, 1929 to Virgil Herbert Hall of Alabama and Virginia Pearl (Shelburne) Hall of Arkansas.

Glenn married the love of his life, Ada Joan Igert, twice. First on July 30, 1949 in Las Vegas, Nevada (when they eloped) and then again 6 months later on Jan 27, 1950 in Huntington Beach, California. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage together, building their lives and careers in Bozeman, Montana, and spending their free time at their beloved cabin they built in Macks Inn, Idaho.

Glenn was a naval veteran of the Korean War and an educator for over 50 years, teaching in the military and at the high school and university levels. He was an associate professor of Speech Communication at Montana State University where he taught for over 30 years. Glenn received degrees from Pepperdine University (BA-1951), California State University Los Angeles (MA-1966) and the University of Southern California (PhD-1975). Known for his limitless enthusiasm, he was a well-loved and respected teacher, touching the lives of thousands of students over his long career.

Glenn was a loving father and devoted husband. He was a long-time member of the Church of Christ and will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious sense of humor, passion for the Spanish language, and strong Christian faith.

In addition to his wife Joan, Glenn is survived by his daughter Sherilyn "Sheri" Hall and their cat Eunice of St Anthony, Idaho; his son Roger Hall, wife Crisse and their two sons Jackson and Peter of Spring, Texas; his sister-in-law Carole Peterson of Blaine, Washington; and his nephew Bruce MacArthur of Rathdrum, Idaho.

There will be a memorial (celebration) service at the St Anthony Church of Christ on Sunday March 12, 2017 after church services.
