Gloria Jean Snook passed away August 9, 2016 at Heritage House in Rexburg from natural causes. She was born February 18, 1943 in Sacramento, CA to Gracie Fiveash.
Gloria married Leonard Bowman and they had four children, Leonard, Jr., Randy, James "Jimmy" and Dawn. They were later divorced.
In 1973 Gloria packed her red Datsun and brought her kids to Idaho from California. They moved to St. Anthony where Gloria had family and friends.
In 1976 Gloria attended Eastern Idaho Technical College, driving west of Rexburg through Lewisville after the Teton Dam broke to attend classes to get her licensed practical nurse certificate. After Gloria became an LPN she worked in Idaho, Nevada and Washington, retiring in Kettle Falls, Washington.
Gloria married Walter Snook September 16, 2012 in Elko, Nevada. They made their home in St. Anthony.
Gloria could almost always be found with a book in her spare time and enjoyed spending her grandchildren and family and made many trips to see them. She enjoyed the outdoors and would comment often on the wildlife that would wander through her yard in Kettle Falls. For many years she would spend time discussing the current happenings on The Young and the Restless with her friend, RaNae.
Gloria is survived by her husband Walter of St. Anthony, sister Shirley of Reno, NV, sons Leonard of Rigby, Randy of Reno, NV, daughter Dawn of Reno, NV. Three step children; Michael (Pam) Snook of Teton, Michelle (Roy) Robertson of Rexburg, Margo (Travis) Moyes of Williston, ND as well as several grand children and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother and son Jimmy.
A memorial service will be held Saturday August 13th 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg.
