Gloria Jean Kington Widdison, 76, of Rexburg, Idaho passed peacefully surrounded by her family on February 14, 2023 at Madison Memorial Hospital.

She was born on November 13, 1946 in Rexburg, Idaho to Raymond Ricks Kington and Rhea Nielsen Kington.

Gloria attended primary schools in Annis and Rexburg, graduating in 1965 from Madison High School. She also attended Ricks College and Idaho State University where she studied early education.

On August 5, 1966, she married her sweetheart, T. Larry Widdison, for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were blessed with three children: Lori, Shanna and Tom.

Gloria and Larry lived in Challis for 12 years before returning home to Rexburg in 1980, and then moving to the Widdison family homestead in Hibbard in 1982, where they still reside.

Gloria worked at Artco in various positions for 19 years before retiring.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gloria and Larry served a mission at the Mormon Handcart Historic Sites at Martin's Cove, Wyoming in 2015. They also served together as ordinance workers for 9 years at the Rexburg Temple.

Gloria enjoyed going camping, reading, crocheting and playing games. Her family was the most important thing in her life and the grandkids never left Grandma's house with an empty stomach (or an empty hand!).

Gloria is survived by her husband of 57 years, T. Larry Widdison, her children, Lori (Ryan) Walker, Shanna (Rick) Hill and Tom (Vickie) Widdison, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a stillborn brother.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 19th from 5:30 until 7:00 at the Flamm Funeral Home located at 61 North 1st East, Rexburg, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 11:00 at the Henry's Fork Stake Center, 1508 West 3000 North, Rexburg, Idaho with Visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Stake Center.

Interment will be at the Plano Cemetery.
