Greg Hollist

Gregory Wayne Hollist, 59, of Rexburg died November 28, 2009, at his home of natural causes. He was born February 24, 1950 in St. Anthony, Idaho to E. Dean Hollist and Darleen Marie Schaefer Hollist. Greg attended schools in St. Anthony, Salmon, Idaho Falls and Rexburg. He graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg. He married Sonja Jensen on August 9, 1968 and they later divorced. He married Wendy May Smith on March 12, 1993 in Idaho Falls. Greg lived in Rexburg, Idaho Falls and in the Archer area. He was an automotive mechanic and he enjoyed camping, motorcycling, snowmachining, and drag racing.

He is survived by his wife Wendy of Burley, his children; Megan (Scott) Parker of St. Anthony and Chase Hollist of Burley, a sister; Judy (Floyd) Beck of Idaho Falls, two brothers; John (Dee) Hollist of Idaho Falls and Terry (Denise) Hollist of Sugar City and three grandchildren; Dalon, Taylor and Kenzie Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son; Shane.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, at the Archer/Sunnydell LDS Chapel (201 W. 8000 South, Rexburg) with Bishop Matt Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
