Gwen S. Robertson passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday morning, June 25, 2021. Gwen was born September 17, 1934 in Independence, Idaho, the oldest child of Earl and Afton Siepert. She was followed by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She grew up in Independence and Kilgore, Idaho. She attended grade school in Kilgore and graduated from Madison High School.
She met her sweetheart, Neilend Robertson, while working for Ralph and Barbara Hillman in Plano, Idaho. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on November 5, 1953. They started their lives together in Parker, Idaho and owned their farm for the past 70 years and shared many happy memories there. They loved farm life and had a big garden and strawberry patch. Gwen was well known for her beautiful flower garden. They were blessed with 4 children, Coleen, Jan, Dale and Roy.
Gwen served in various church callings and was happy when she was serving others. She served a mission to the Connecticut Hartford Mission from September 1987-1988.
She worked as a Secretary for Wilcox Potato Warehouse for many years. And then as a Secretary in the Accounts Payable Department at Ricks College. She graduated with her Associates Degree from Ricks College June 6, 1996 proving age is no limit when you have a goal to achieve.
She loved being a mom, grandma, and great grandma. Her grand kids were the light of her life.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Parker Ward. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:45 with the funeral at 11:00. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
