They moved to Salt Lake City, then to Nampa, Idaho, where he grew up and graduated from Nampa High School in 1953. He was proud to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. In 1956-58 he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brisbane, Australia.

Harvy and Bonnie Mae made their permanent home in Sugar City, Idaho. They adopted three children; Bradley James McConville, Davis Scott McConville and an infant they named Jennifer.
Harvy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spent many years serving in leadership positions in college wards and stakes. He served as an officiator in the Idaho Falls Tempel and nine years in the Rexburg Idaho Temple baptistry.
He enjoyed membership in the Sons of Utah Pioneers and served as an officer there. He served the community in the Meals On Wheels program and on the board of the Sugar City Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Mae, one granddaughter, Dalene Scott, a grandson, Jenz Hansen, two great-granddaughters; Ashlynn and Aiyanah and two great-grandsons; Blaze and Jacoby. He is also survived by one sister, Renee (Bud) Johnson of Rexburg.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the gray church in Sugar City, 6 Teton Ave. There will be a graveside service later in the Spring at the Sugar City Cemetery. Because flowers wilt and die, stamps with flowers on them will be much appreciated. Condolences may be sent online to www.flammfh.com
