Hazel Lucille Marshall Struhs, 98, of Rexburg, passed away September 23, 2012 at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls, ID

Hazel was born September 6, 1914 in Franklin, Idaho to Charles Fredrick Marshall and Helen Christina Fikstad Marshall.

Hazel grew up in the Burton area and attended schools in Cedarpoint and Burton.
On February 21, 1935. Hazel married Arnold H. Struhs in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. Together they raised two children, Marvin and Garry. Hazel was a mother and homemaker but also worked at Ray George Laundry, Floyd Wilcox Potato Warehouse, and Queen Bee Restaurants. She also rented out her apartments to students attending Ricks College and BYU-Idaho.

Arnold passed away February 25, 1989.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as a primary teacher for many years and she also served in the Relief Society for 39 years in total.

Hazel's Survivors Include; Son, Marvin Arnold (Linda) Struhs of Orofino, ID; Son, Garry Marshall (Bonnie) Struhs of Idaho Falls,ID, a brother, Melvin Marshall of Sandy, UT; 6 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, one brother (Leon Marshall), and one grandson (Gary Dean Struhs).

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26th, at Flamm Funeral home in Rexburg, 61 N 1st E, with Bishop Brad Smith of the Rexburg 4th Ward Officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday prior to funeral services at Flamm Funeral home. Burial will be in the Burton Cemetery beside her husband.
Family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful care givers at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Center, Promontory Point Rehabilitation, and Hands of hope Hospice for the last 6 months of life.
