Helen Mae Herring Holder, age 84, died December 18, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, in Idaho Falls, ID with family at her side. Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister peacefully left this world to join her eternal companion.

Helen was born on August 24, 1937, to Althea Elizabeth Whitby and Lloyd Herbert Herring in Hailey, Blaine Co., Idaho. She leaves behind her children, Cheryl Ann Ashton (Jeff) of Logan, Utah, Tamera Lynn Tolman (Todd), of Sugar City, ID, Steven Todd Whetstone (Lanith), of Ephrata, WA, and Leslie Liane Rumsey (Troy), of Peoria, AZ, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, loving stepchildren, and sister, Nadine Schoonmaker (John), of North Logan, Utah.

Helen spent countless hours creating and sharing her talents with all those around her. She enjoyed sewing, china painting, cross-stitch, and floral arts. You would always find her working on a project or cooking a treat that was earmarked for a neighbor, friend, or family member.

Helen worked for years in the meat department for Albertsons, the produce department at Macey's, and finished her career as an Administrative Assistant for the Division of Water Rights in Utah. She loved meeting new people and loved getting to know them better. She always made you feel comfortable and welcome in her home.

Helen spent the last 7 years with her sweetheart, Benny J Holder. They enjoyed driving adventures, getting lost on a road, and just being together.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Gordon Herring, daughter-in-law, Lisa Whetstone, and grandson Gregory Freeman.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 11:00 am at Bert Flamm Mortuary in St Anthony, ID. (581 E, 1st N.) Followed by a graveside service in the Riverview Cemetery, in St Anthony, ID.
