Obituary

Heriberto "Tito" Paredes passed away May 12, 2024 at the Homestead in Rexburg, ID.  He was born December 4, 1941 in Concepcion, Chile.  He is the son of Heriberto and Otilia Paredes.   He spent all of his growing up years in Concepcion where he attended school. In 1963  he joined the Chilean Air force.  In the Air force he was trained as an Electronic  Technician for airborne electronic equipment.  In 1967 his father passed away and he left the Air force to return to his home and help take care of his mother and siblings.

On September 13, 1969 he married Bonnie Clark from Ashton, ID  They made their home in Talcahuano, Chile.  Because of Government unrest in Chile, In May of 1971 they Emigrated  to the United States.  After working for others for a short time, he set up business in St. Anthony and Rexburg, ID under the name of Tito's TV.  He served these towns and surrounding areas fixing and selling  TV's, VCR's and other electronic equipment. This he did from 1972 until 2023.

Besides his work, Tito liked to play soccer and Tennis.  He played soccer and coached several of his children's soccer teams over the years.  He loved playing tennis and participated in several local tennis tournaments.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as branch president on two different occasions.  His favorite church calling was that of a Home Teacher.

He is survived by his Wife, Bonnie Paredes,  children, Karen Chacin, Bonnie Moon (Brandon Moon), Marisol Cox,  Heriberto "Beto" Paredes (Lannah Ho), Maria Lombardi (Ty), Nephi Paredes, Colleen Paredes, David Paredes (Nancy Rincon), Tito Jr. Paredes (Sundi Oakey) and Kristina Hensen (Judd).  And three brothers, Hugo, Fernando and Joe Paredes (Branda).  He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony 4th Ward Chapel, 507 W. 2nd N. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony, and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
