Obituary
Iris Howell, 83, died Monday, April 7, 2014 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born April 14, 1930 in Baker, Oregon to Ira and Eva Clark VanLeuven.
She attended school in John Day Oregon, graduating from Grant Union High School in 1948.
She married Arden Howell on January 2, 1949 in Prairie City Oregon, where they lived before moving to Long Creek Oregon in 1954. Then in 1968 they moved to Rexburg, Idaho where she worked for Spee-Dee Cleaner and Blocks Department Store as an alterationist and seamstress. She worked for Dillard's Department store in Idaho Falls, retiring from there in 1996.
She enjoyed reading and loved to be with her family. Arden died in 1998.
She is survived by her children, Lynn (Carol) Howell of Meridian, Idaho, John (Nickoal) Howell of Kimberly, Idaho, George (Bobbe) Howell of Idaho Falls, Idaho, as well as 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arden, 2 brothers, Darrell VanLeuven and Duane VanLeuven.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2013 at Flamm Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg, Cemetery.
