Obituary

Ivan Richard Miller, 92, of Rexburg, passed away December 18, 2011 at his home of natural causes. He was born November 13, 1919 in Parker, Idaho to Charles Henry and Olive Mary Orgill Miller.

He married Helen Davenport on November 8, 1943, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of five children.

He served his country valiantly, as an officer, during World War II, in both the South Pacific Theatre of War, and the European Theatre of War.

Ivan was a very active, diligent member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was General Manager of Challenge Dairy in Idaho Falls. Later he was General Manager of Western General Dairies in Utah.

He is survived by his wife Helen of Rexburg; children Jud Earl (Catherine) Miller of Rigby, Kim Ivan (Sheryl) Miller of Sandy, Utah, Trenna (Scott) Dixon of Rexburg, Shauna (the late LaMar) Parkin of Bountiful, Utah, Chad Robert (Nicki) Miller of Boise; 28 grandchildren, and 50 great-grandchildren with more coming. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, a son-in-law, and six grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21 at the Rexburg Center Stake chapel on Summerwood Drive, with Bishop Kevin Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery.
