Obituary

Ivel Nield Izatt Burrell, of Teton City, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on Friday, May 30, 2014, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Ivel was born August 19, 1946, to Mary LaRee Nield and Rawla Izatt in Afton, Wyoming. Her family moved to Emmett, Idaho when she was 13 and she finished school there, graduating from Emmett High School.

She moved to Rexburg to attend Ricks College and met the love of her life, Delwin K Burrell. They were married on June 24, 1966, and made their home in Parker. They were blessed with three amazing children while living there; Keith, Kay and Danice. They later moved to Teton City and have resided there until her passing.

Ivel was an amazingly talented, out-going lady who has never met a stranger. This ability to interact with people came in handy when she managed Sew Society Fabric on Main Street in Rexburg.

She served several terms as Fremont County Assessor. Her years at the courthouse in St. Anthony brought many friends into her life. Her sense of humor, love of a good joke, and fabulous cooking were well known to all who knew her.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings.

She is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. She was always willing to do anything she could to help anyone and everyone she knew. Going the extra mile was not enough for her she would go the extra mile and a half. She was an amazing lady and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Delwin of Teton; children, Keith (Angie) Burrell of Idaho Falls, Kay (Jeannie) Burrell of Rexburg, Danice (Joe) Heward of Thayne, Wyoming; siblings Mary Kaye (Alan) Brown of Emmett, Kathey Hawker-Wikof of Midvale, Idaho, Mark (Debra) Izatt of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Delma (J) Gatfield of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, Wendy (Mark) Little of Tacoma, Washington, Claudia (Kelly) Flinn of Twin Falls, Joan (Roland) Smith of Payette; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dude and LaRee Izatt.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, at the Teton LDS Chapel with Bishop Ryan Lerwill officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 East 1st North, in St. Anthony, and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.flammfh.com.

At the luncheon following the services, at Ivel's request, there will be an opportunity for friends and family to get up and share memories and stories of this great lady.
