Obituary

James Michael Davis, 62 of Wilford, passed away Sunday, December 21 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 6, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Eula and Donald Davis and was raised in Orange Co. California by his mother and setp-father Charles Turley.

He graduated from Edison High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and then joined the Marine Corp. He was a helicopter mechanic and served state side during the Vietnam War. After eight years of service he received and honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant.

He worked for over twenty years for McDonnell Douglas and Boeing Co. as a licensed aircraft mechanic.

After the death of his step-father Tony Kiedis he moved to St. Anthony to care for his mother. For over ten years while living here he worked at the JDC.

As an avid fly and bass fisherman when ever the weather cooperated he was out on the rivers and streams. He enjoyed playing in local pool leagues with friends and also enjoyed playing the guitar. He will be missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Eula and Tony Kiedis, and by his father, Charles Turley. Jim is survived by his brother David Turley (Janet) of Broken Arrow, OK. One nephew, Mark Turley, Amsterdam, Netherlands, two nieces, Melinda Bridges, Springfield, MO, Stana Gaw, Tulsa, OK.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary in St. Anthony. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery where he will receive military honors from the St. Anthony Veterans and Marine Honor Guard.
