James Richard "J.R." Smith, 35, of Rexburg, died September 25, 2014 in Plano, Idaho. He was born in Rexburg on September 1, 1979 to Kent and RaNae Smith. He had 4 siblings, Todd Pettingill, Monte (Barbara) Pettingill, Shelli (Rial) Palmer, and Kelli Smith.
J.R. had two children, Shai Cloe Smith and River James Smith. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and being with his two children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Russell White.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2014 in Hog Hollow, 350 North 2750 East, Teton, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to services. Memorial contributions can be made to Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg.
