Jana Leigh Manwaring, 37, of Rexburg, passed away February 23, 2018, at Madison Memorial Hospital from complications related to pancreatitis and liver failure.
Jana was born November 4, 1980, in Rexburg, Idaho to Dwight Manwaring and Gaylene Jones Manwaring. She grew up in Rexburg and Salem, Idaho, and graduated from Sugar Salem High School. She auditioned for the U.S. Army Military Band and was accepted and served for a period of time. After her service she received an honorable discharge. She then attended and graduated from the Dental Assistant School in the Concorde Career College, in San Diego, California. She worked in the dental field until her illness began.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jana was a fun, spirited, loving girl. Her eyes were lit up with curiosity - and she was inquisitive about everything. She had a special love for her sister and brother and talked endlessly about her deep care for them. Her nephews and nieces were the love of her life. She gave unconditionally to them and was selfless in her love and contribution to them.
Jana loved being outdoors. She enjoyed sitting by the river with a fishing pole. She looked forward to family outings and being able to spend an afternoon with her nephews and nieces, even when she was to ill to participate. She enjoyed the nature and beauty that surrounded her.
She is survived by her loving parents, Dwight and Gaylene Manwaring of Rexburg; sister, Amy Jo Olzak of Idaho Falls; brother, Royce W. Manwaring of Idaho Falls; grandparents, Bill and Juanita Jones of Mapleton, Utah; grandmother, Joan Manwaring of Rexburg; nephews, Kayde, Kellen, Gabriel, Drake, and Jude; nieces, Brooklynn and Tyree; and many loving aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Salem LDS Chapel with Bishop Matt Anderson officiating.
