Janice Nellie Staley Birch, 85 of Rexburg, died Monday, August 8, 2022, at her home.  She was born to Ira and Lucille Staley on January 2, 1937, in Rexburg Idaho.

She married Blaine Birch on October 26, 1956, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

She raised a large family and worked at the Ricks College Bookstore.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings over the years.  Much of her time was spent serving in the primary.

She is survived by her children; Bryan Birch of Twin Falls, Marlin (Pamela) Birch of Tremonton, Utah, Marla Birch of Centerville, Utah, Kristine (James) Newbold of Richlands, North Carolina, Robin Naylor of Boise, Idaho, Naomi (Cliff) Berkey of Kasiloff, Alaska, Laurie (Donald) Fletcher of Rexburg, Idaho, as well as 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine, her parents, a brother, and a son-in-law, Carey Naylor.

Services will be held 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the Rexburg 4th Ward Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
