Jared Helaman Garner, son of Michael and Jean Ann Glaze Garner, of Rexburg, Idaho, returned home peacefully to his Heavenly Father on the morning of August 14, 2009. Jared was born on November 17, 1979 in Rexburg. He was 29.

Jared attended school in the Madison School District. He graduated from Willard High School in Willard, Missouri. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jared's life was much too short. He will be remembered for the love and loyalty he had for his family and his friends. Jared's infectious personality and smile brought joy to all who knew him. Jared enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with his family. Jared had a special love for his nephews, Micah and Ethan, and a niece, Abby. He will be greatly missed.

Jared is survived by his parents, Michael and Jean Ann Garner of Rexburg, and his brothers Heath (Carrie) Garner of Provo, Utah; Joshua (Marcy) Garner, Jeremy Garner, Ian Garner; and his grandfather, Ted Garner all of Rexburg. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edna Garner, grandparents Mae and Harold Glaze.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, at the Rexburg LDS East Stake Center, 387 South 4th East, with Bishop David Reeser officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
