IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jason
Davis
March 18, 1972 – April 7, 2022
Jason Rayce Davis tragically left us at 50 years of age on Wednesday April 7, 2022 in St. Anthony Idaho. Jason was born to Shawna Winters Mace and Rayce Davis in Rexburg, ID on March 18, 1972. He was a proud big brother to ShayLynn, Tyrell, Keenan, Logan and Morgan, always striving to be the best big brother possible. He attended school in Teton and St. Anthony, ID. In high school Jason participated in rodeo, football and wrestling at South Fremont High School. Upon graduating in 1990, he worked at the Les Schwab in St. Anthony, before becoming a certified brake technician in Colorado Springs, CO. He enjoyed some traveling and was excited to experience the Macy's Day Parade. He returned to St. Anthony in 1993, and started boxing with St. Anthony Boxing Club, kicking butt and taking names. Soon after he met and married Jamie Marie Caldwell, on July 14, 1995. A year later they embarked on an adventure and moved to Anchorage, Alaska. One of most beloved times of his life was that time spent in Anchorage with his brothers Kurt Harrison and Jerry Chubb. Together they spent time fishing, snowmobiling and raising hell. He was the Service Manager of one of the largest RV Trailer Sales in Anchorage. While in Alaska, he also spent time on the North Slope working on the oil pipeline. Jason experienced the proudest moment of his life in Anchorage when his daughter Jenacee was born. Soon after her birth, he moved his little family back to St. Anthony working for Smith RV. After leaving Smith's he went to work at St. Anthony Work Camp and went to Academy, graduating at the top of his class in academics and shooting. He went to work on the Projects Crews and spent time fighting fires during the summer. This was also a particularly special time when Jason was able to hang out in the woods, hunting and partying with his little brothers and friends. In 2003, he started working for TSA. He worked hard building a successful career and was so proud to be able to provide for his family. At the time of his death, he was Assistant Director for Federal Security. In 2005, the other love of his life, Jaibree Raelyn was born. Everyone who knows Jason, knows he loved to spin a good tale, could talk your ear off and was always the first to offer his help. He was successful in everything he touched. Even though he claimed to "hate being around people" no one was a stranger to Jason. Some of the things Jason loved best was hunting, spending time with his girls, especially his grand-daughter Baby Bear Millie. He loved sharing his knowledge of knives and guns with all his nephews, reminiscing about the time spent with his grandpas Sam and Emery, and time growing up on the Davis Ranch. He also loved horse-back riding with his dad and uncles. Most recently you could find Jason out in his "Buggy" (Polaris Ranger) and he loved taking family and friends for rides.
Jason meant the world to his family and nothing will ever replace the hole that exists in our hearts now.
Jason is survived by his daughters Jenacee (Brody) Buck, and Jaibree Davis, granddaughter Millie Ruth and baby girl Buck expected this April, and Jamie Davis of Idaho Falls, parents Shawna and Scott Mace and Rayce Davis of St. Anthony, grandmother Molly Winters of Rexburg, siblings ShayLynn (Benjamin) Greenwood, Tyrell (Camille) Davis of Boise, Logan (Amber) Davis of Idaho Falls, Keenan (Lori) Mace of St. Anthony, and Morgan (Kelsey) Robinson of Rexburg, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He was a loving Uncle that will be greatly missed by his 10 nephew and 11 nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandparent Emery and Alice Davis, and Samuel Winters.
