Jean Siepert Petersen, 87, of Burton, died January 19, 2025, at her home under her daughter's care.

She was born February 18, 1937, in Rexburg, Idaho to Earl Lorenzo and Afton Andersen Siepert.  She was raised in Kilgore.

She married "K" Ralph Petersen on January 26, 1956.  Three children were born to this union.  They made their home in Burton where they raised their family.  "K" Ralph died in 1983.

Jean was a hard worker and kept her yard and home spotless well into her 80's.  She appreciated the Spencer family helping care for her yard once she was physically unable.  She enjoyed embroidery and crocheting.  She was a world traveler and loved traveling whenever the opportunity arose.  Some of her grandchildren were able to travel with her, which she really enjoyed.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her children, Shane K (Camille) Petersen and Carole (Brent) Garner; a sister, Fern Jones; a brother, Larry A. Siepert; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a daughter, Elaine; sisters, Gwen and Sharon; and a brother, Don.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 North 1st East, in Rexburg.  The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services.  Interment will be in the Burton Cemetery.
