Obituary
Jerald Dean Johnson, 53 of Rexburg, died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his home. He was born August 20, 1963 in Vernal Utah to Don and Betty Johnson.
After high school he met and married Kathy Mae Nelson in Utah. They raised five children together.
He would go on to work in the oil fields.
He was an avid angler, artist, fly tier, hunter mechanic, all around outdoors man and a great friend to many people who will miss him greatly. He had suffered a disabling back injury but he always tried to keep his spirits high.
He was a loving father, husband and grandfather. His suffering ends as our sorrow begins. His memories will continue on and he will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Rexburg, his children; Kathren Johnson of Twin Falls, Idaho, Jerald Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Wesely Johnson of Boise, Idaho, Steven Johnson of Boise, Idaho and Nick Johnson of St. Anthony, as well as five grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings, Jennifer Vanluschen, Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 20,2017 at the LDS church located at the corner of 4th South and 3rd West in Rexburg.
