Jerry G. Virgin passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the age of 73. He was born in Rigby, Idaho on April 21, 1950 to Dell and Lois Virgin. Jerry was the middle child of 5 kids. His siblings include his brothers Steve & Wayne, and sisters Julie  & Sandra. Jerry attended high school in Rexburg, Idaho. He then went on to receive his accounting degree at Stevens-Henegar college. After his education he decided to spend his professional life as an Electrician, taking over Virgin Electric from his Dad.

Jerry married Sherrie and was then later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Jerry loved being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints and enjoyed serving in the church in any capacity he was asked. He and Sherrie served a mission in Anchorage, Alaska in 2020. He was a faithful disciple to Jesus Christ and his faith and testimony inspired many.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Sherrie, his eight children, Troy (Amy) Virgin, Nicole Virgin, Daniel J. Virgin, Candace (Cody) Shumway, Chad (Kristy) Virgin, Robyn (Jeremy) Hammond, Jamie (Christian) Allred, and Justin Virgin, as well as 35 grandkids and 12 great grandkids. Dad was loved and admired by all those who knew him especially his family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday May 4th from 5:00-7:30pm at Flamm Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 5th at 11:00am at Rexburg North Stake Center. Visitation will also be held Friday morning from 10:00-10:45 prior to the funeral services. Interment will be at the Rexburg Cemetery.
