Jon Robert Linford passed from this life to the next on June 5, 2023. He was born in Provo, Utah, on November 9, 1984, and grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

As a child he loved camping with his family, Sea World, fireworks, and electronics and technology (making a workable hovercraft out of a discarded vacuum cleaner was a lifelong quest). He was also active in scouting and earned his Eagle.

In 2006 he married Kristen Janelle Musa and became the father of two remarkable twin girls, Olivia Nayana and Lydia Abigail. Jon worked as a landscaper and owned his own business in New Mexico. Jon and Kristen later divorced, but the families have remained close, and Jon's girls have been the light of his life. Jon suffered with mental illness for a substantial part of his life, and for the past several years he has lived with his parents in Rexburg, Idaho. As an adult he had a special gift for mechanics, taking down trees, helping around the house, and keeping in close touch with Olivia and Lydia.

Jon is survived by his daughters, Olivia and Lydia; his ex-wife, Kristen Wayas; his parents, Jon and Evelyn Linford; his sister, Sharon Anne Rinehart (married to Bobby and mother of Ian); and his brother, Thomas Linford. Funeral services for Jon will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 12, 2023, in the Park Street chapel. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
