Jordan Gregory Carter, 24, of St. Anthony, Idaho, passed away in his family's home Saturday, December 21, 2013.
Jordan was born to Jerry and April Carter, June 4, 1989, in Rexburg, Idaho. Jordan graduated from South Fremont High School in 2006. Since that time, Jordan was self-employed and enjoyed laboring in carpentry and landscaping.
Jordan has been a very talented archer since the age of 3. Before he reached the age of 13 he had already won several state, national, and Vegas shoots. Pros of the archery world would talk to him as if he were a pro himself. Jordan's family, especially his father, Jerry, were all very proud of him and his accomplishments.
Along with archery, Jordan enjoyed being outdoors living as many wild adventures as he could. Activities like drawing, snow boarding, skate boarding, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, and building fires, were some of his favorite pass times. Often in wintertime, Jerry and April would find Jordan joyously floating down the river behind their house on large blocks of ice. Jordan loved adventures like this that would get his blood pumping.
Out of all of Jordan's hobbies and activities, he enjoyed being with friends and family the most. He often expressed his love in his own way, and as a result, he holds a special place in the hearts of all those around him. His family dearly loves and cherishes him both in life and in death. His family will miss his presence and charismatic personality in their home, especially during this holiday season.
Jordan is survived by his parents: Jerry and April Carter, of St. Anthony, and five siblings: Forrest Carter, of St. Anthony; Kerri Steffens, of Kansas City; Colby Carter, of St. Anthony; Kelsie Carter, of St. Anthony; and Makenzi Carter, of St. Anthony.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony) and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Carter Estates Cemetery.
