Josephine Delight Beckley was born February 4, 1931, to Peter Lundgren and Trula May Ellis.  Jo was born in Nampa, Idaho but soon relocated to the small family farm in Tompkins, Saskatchewan.  Jo was joined later by three siblings, Dorothy, Gerald, and Shirley.

When she was sixteen, the family moved back to the Boise area.  Jo attended school there and graduated from Eagle High School in 1949.

She met Del Beckley who was from the Shoshone area.  They were married on March 10, 1951.  They moved a few times before settling in Rexburg, Idaho.  Four sons were born to this union, James, Mark, Perry, and Carl.

Jo worked as a lab technician for Rogers Brothers and Basic American Foods for 42 years.

Jo and Del spent a lot of time watching baseball games, and hosting family cookouts in their back yard.  They loved family reunions and cooking in Dutch ovens.  Jo was a wonderful cook.  She could bake a mean apple pie.

After Del passed in 2009, she began attending the Jehovah's Witness church.  She chose to be baptized in her 80's and was a devoted member until her death.

Jo passed away at the Homestead Assisted Living Center on May 25, 2023, at the age of 92.  She lived a good long life and had many friends.  She loved people, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, James (Terri) Beckley, Mark (Nola) Beckley, Perry Beckley, Carl Beckley; siblings, Gerald (Marilyn) Lundgren, Dorothy Olsen, Shirley Shockman; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Trula Lundgren; husband, Delbur Beckley; granddaughter, Kristi Beckley; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Beckley.

Funeral services will held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg.  The family will receive friends that morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services.  Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.
