Joyce Watts

Joyce Fowler Watts peacefully passed away Sunday, June 28th, surrounded by her family after an eight-year-long battle with cancer. Joyce was the third child born to JaNele and Don Fowler on March 18th, 1968, in Rexburg, Idaho. She lived in Sugar City, Idaho, for her childhood and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School in 1986. Joyce got married to Philip Watts Jr in 1993. They resided in Idaho until 2003, when they moved to New Mexico. In New Mexico, Joyce worked at daycares and enjoyed going on long drives and exploring new places on the weekends. In 2016, she and the family relocated to the Bay Area of California, where she lived the rest of her life. In California, Joyce enjoyed visiting historical sites, driving along the coast, and being closer to family again.

She is preceded in death by her father, Don Fowler, and is survived by her mother, JaNele, and her siblings, Donele, Allen, Letisha, and Misti. Joyce is also survived by Philip and her daughters, Adrienne, Nikole, and Meganne, as well as her granddaughter Meisha.

Services for Joyce Fowler Watts will be held at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, Idaho. There will be a public viewing on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026, from 5:30 pm- 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held the following day on Thursday, July 16th, 2026, at 11:00 am. The family would like to extend gratitude to all of those who loved and supported Joyce throughout her life.
