Obituary

Julia Louise Price Cemer, passed away September 23, 2014 at her home in Rexburg, Idaho. She was born November 28, 1978 in Springfield, Oregon. She is the beautiful, talented oldest daughter of Earl J Price and Kathleen B. Houtchens Price. Her passing was unexpected and heartbreaking to all who knew and loved her.

Julia grew up in Rexburg attending Burton Elementary, Madison Junior and Senior High schools. She was a gifted cellist and pianist. She brought great joy to her father whenever she played be it just in practice or in many musical productions and concerts. She was also a wonderful writer and while still in middle school had poems published nationally including one in the book "America on My Mind".

One of the greatest experiences of her life was spending a semester at the BYU Center in Jerusalem where she made great friends while studying and touring Israel, Jordan, and Egypt.


She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English and began a career in technical writing soon after. She worked for several high tech computer companies in Utah and Idaho. She was known for her attention to detail and getting it just right.


Julia married Jeffrey Cemer December 30, 2004 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Julia and Jeffrey had one son, Landon, who was the light of her life.


Julia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several church calls both as a teen and as an adult.

She is survived by her parents; son Landon of Salt Lake City, Utah; her brothers Jason (Cyndi) Price of Salt Lake City, Utah and Brian (Jodi) Price of Shelley, Idaho; her sisters Stacy (Dan) Moss and Karie (Paul) Ragar both of Rexburg; and nephews Porter and Tanner; and niece, Bree. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Beverly Derrickson of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents David Lorin Price and Louise Anderson Price Davenport.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday September 29, 2014 at the Burton 1st Ward, 3958 W 2000 S, Rexburg, Idaho, with Bishop Christopher Lowry officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Teton Newdale Cemetery.
