Karen Rose Covington Klingler, 76, of Rexburg, died July 21, 2016, in Meridian, Idaho of natural causes.
She was born August 6, 1939, in Rexburg to Edward and Letha Zollinger Covington. She was raised and attended schools in Rexburg. She graduated from Madison High School and Boise Business College.
She married Eldon Klingler on September 28, 1973, in Elko, Nevada. They made their home in Rexburg.
She worked for a number of years as a secretary at the Rexburg Ford dealership.
She enjoyed fishing, traveling and camping. She loved to dance and she and Eldon spent a lot a time dancing together. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing the piano.
She is survived by her husband, Eldon, of Rexburg; children, Sherry (Joe) Riley of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Kent (Ali) Klingler of Meridian, Idaho, Bob (Billie) Klingler of Taylor, Idaho, Denise K. Jones of Idaho Falls, Terese (Alan) Nield of Idaho Falls, Tammy (Kyle) Christensen of Eagle, Idaho; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Vicky; granddaughter Melissa; sister Joan Watson; brothers Brent Covington and Blair Covington.
Grave side services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at the Rexburg Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
