Obituary

Frances Kay (Lund) Clark, known to everyone as Kay, she was 77 years old, she was born Feb. 24, 1940 and died June 16, 2017. She was the 3rd daughter born to Leonard B. Lund and Florence (Hoopes) Lund.

She grew up in Preston (Egypt), Idaho where she participated in 4-H learning how to sew and much more. She earned a degree in Commercial Art from LDS Business College. She worked at O.C. Tanners doing art work and at Sear's sewing drapes.

Kay served a full time LDS mission in Copenhagen, Denmark from 1963 to 1965. Kay met Rex W. Clark in San Diego, CA and was sealed to him for time and all eternity in the Logan, UT temple March 20, 1973. They lived in Salt Lake City, UT briefly, later moving to Shelley, ID where the 3 children (Amy, Ila, and Jon) were born. Eventually they settled down in Rexburg, Idaho (Rex's home town) where they raised their family.

Kay was an artist, seamstress and needle-worker and loved sharing her talents with everyone. She always had a project in the works, often creating things for others. She participated on the Idaho Centennial Carousel Committee creating the original concept art for the lead horses and other new ones and provided art work for the fund raising Carousel Coloring Book. Kay put her skills to use teaching her daughters 4-H sewing, making quilt tops for Humanitarian Aid, and donating her knitted baby booties to hospitals and other organizations just to name a few things. She also designed and sewed many wedding dresses over the years for friends and family. She loved doing family history both for her own family and for many others.

She served in various Family History callings including Sunday School teacher and Family History Missionary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charley, sister Rhea, and her brother Knute. She is survived by her husband Rex W. Clark, their children: Amy (Garth) McGuire, Ila Clark, Jon L. Clark, 5 grandchildren, her siblings Margaret (Leo) Gessel, Dennis Lund, Jerry (Lori) Lund, Ira (Alicia) Lund, and Linda Lund.
