Kay Taylor Heinz, 79, of Rexburg died peacefully at her home on Friday, September 9, 2016. She was born October 5, 1936 in Rexburg, to Lawrence and Bernice Christensen Taylor. She attended schools in Rexburg, graduating from Madison High School in 1954.
She married Blair W Heinz in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on November 12, 1953.
She was a housewife, a farmer's right hand and substitute school teacher. She also worked at Diet Center and BYU-I in the admission and registrars office.
She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a variety of callings including, Ward Relief Society President, Young Women's President, and Stake Young Women's President. She also served in the Rexburg LDS Temple in the baptistry.
She lived all of her life in Rexburg and enjoyed yard work, gardening, her raspberry patch and going on car rides.
She is survived by her husband, Blair, her daughters, Linda Jo (Spencer) Larsen of Rexburg, Idaho, Annette Heinz of Smithfield, Utah, Beverly (Dave) Parks of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Camille (Courtney) Taylor of Stansbury Park, Utah and her daughter-in-law, Sally Heinz of Rexburg, Idaho as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Stanley (Carol) Taylor, Mary Lou DeMott, and Neil (Beverly) Taylor.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Randall and a brother-in-law, William DeMott.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17th at the Burton East Building, 2332 W 2000 S, Rexburg, with Bishop Evan Ricks officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
