Keith Hathaway, 82, of Rexburg, died peacefully Saturday, May 11, 2013 at his home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. He was born June 27, 1930 in Parker, Idaho to Bud Oliver and Susan Hathaway.
When Keith was 16 years old his mother died. In 1947 he married Nina Westover, five children were born to this union. Keith worked for the Union Pacific Railroad among other "extra" jobs to provide "well" for his family. He retired from the railroad after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he and Nina served 2 missions.
He is survived by his wife, Nina; a son, Lorin Hathaway of Eugene, Oregon; daughters, Susan (Jerry) Williams of Hermiston, Oregon, Debbie (Terry) Schreiner of Nampa, Idaho, Cindy Allen of Mesa, Arizona, Margo Hathaway of Rexburg, Idaho, as well as 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Kenneth Hathaway of Pocatello, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 sons-in-law and 1 daughter-in-law.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, in the Stonebridge LDS Chapel, 475 East 7th North in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and Wednesday from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
