Kem K. Palmer passed away October 27, 2026, with his wife at his side. He was the oldest of 7 children born to Max S. Palmer and Ranee “Kate” Knudsen Palmer. He was born in Logan Utah. The family moved to Rexburg, Idaho when he was 2 years old. He enjoyed a great childhood. He rode horses, helped irrigate, and got into mischief with his younger brothers. He graduated from Sugar Salem High School in 1975. Following high school he worked for several area farmers. After the Teton dam flood, he went to work for his dad with his brothers rebuilding the mess the flood made.
Kem married Bonnie Crain on January 29, 1982. The marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple April 12, 1995. Their first child Kelsie was born in 1984, and in 1989 a son, Jaren, was born. His children were his greatest joy, especially when they were old enough to help him on the farm.
His favorite things in life were his family and work. He loved working with cattle, horses, and farming. He was very meticulous in everything he did; wanting things done his way.
He was grateful for his membership in the Church of Jeus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved the gospel and had a strong testimony of his Savior Jesus Christ.
He loved people and could talk to anyone. He was always kind to those around him, honest, and tried to help anyone in need.
He enjoyed being a pick-up man at the rodeos. He especially liked picking-up with his son Jaren. When farming became too demanding, he stopped to spend more time farming; his son Jaren took his place. Even when Kem began slowing down and could no longer work the rodeos, he loved to watch, help, and support Jaren as he continued picking-up.
Kem is survived by his son Jaren (Jessica) Ty, Stevey, Ren, Homer and Kemzey Palmer of St. Anthony. Son-in-law Shayman (Leslie) Wyatt, Madi, Easton, Maren Munns of Salem.
Kem was preceded in death by his dad Max Palmer and his daughter Kelsie Palmer Munns.
