Kenneth Roberts, 93, of Rexburg, Idaho passed away on February 21, 2020.
Ken was born January 31, 1927, to John and Alice Roberts in Kemmerer, Wyoming. He resided in Frontier, Wyoming until graduation in 1945. At that time he was drafted into the Army during World War II, where he served for 2 years in Japan.
Ken married Sharon Roberts of Smithfield, Utah on June 1st, 1951 in the Logan, Utah temple. Ken and Sharon moved to Grace, Idaho in 1952 to run a dry cleaning business together called "Ken's cleaners" for nearly 10 years. Ken went to work for Peterson's Market for many years after that. He then worked for Grace, Idaho school district as a custodian followed by a career in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he retired.
Ken was a loyal member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints where he served in many callings throughout his life faithfully. Ken loved gardening, his country, and his family.
Ken is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sharon Roberts and one daughter, Gaye (Steven) Riding of Rexburg, Idaho. He is also survived by 5 grandsons. Brodie (Cindy), Paxon (Jenna), Kelson, Cathan (Taylar), and Kovi Riding. Along with 8 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Glen Roberts, of Uma, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. The family will receive friends that morning from 10:00 to 10:45. Burial will be in the Rexburg, Idaho Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Idaho Honor Guard and Madison County Veterans.
