Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Brower, 60, of Rexburg, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He has gone to heaven to join his wife Merri Ann and son Ricky. He was born January 11, 1953, in Idaho Falls to Richard Ivan and Elva JaNeal "Betty" Finn Brower. He was raised in Teton Valley and graduated from Teton High School. He worked as a barber in Driggs for a time, and then for the past 30 years in Rexburg. His daughters were lucky to know him as the best Dad three girls could ever have. Kenny loved everyone and was a beloved member of the Rexburg community. He spent his free time hunting and fishing and camping with his family. His grandchildren, sons-in-law and daughter-in-law have cherished being a member of his family. Kenny married his beloved wife Merri Ann in 1973. They were married for 37 happy years until Merri Ann's death just 19 short month ago. Kenny's brothers were his best friends. Rarely a day went by that he didn't see or speak with at least one of them. Kenny's brothers, sisters-in-law and nieces have been loving and generous with their time and energy throughout Kenny's illness. His infectious laughter and practical jokes will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Kenny was the most honest, patient and compassionate man that we have ever had the pleasure to know. We love you Dad and know that you and Mom will be at every ball game cheering on your beloved grandkids. The family extends a special thank you to Camille Hinck of Hospice Alliance. He is survived by his children, Kristi (Ronda Knudsen) Brower, Katie (Scott) Weaver, Kara (Nick) Burrows; grandchildren, Mike Brower, Mykah Weaver, Mataya Weaver, Marianna Weaver, Mea Burrows, Jackson Burrows; brothers, Garon (Norma) Brower, Tharon (Linda) Brower, Michael (Jackie) Brower; a mother-in-law, Marian Pfeiffer. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Merri Ann, son Ricky and a sister, Jean Wulf. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at the Rexburg 13th Ward LDS Chapel, 210 South 12th West, with Bishop Derek Wadsworth officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
