Kevin D. Parker, 57, of St. Anthony, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016, of natural causes in his home.
Kevin was born May 27, 1959, in Rexburg, Idaho the son of William Parker and Margene High. He grew up in St. Anthony and also attended school there.
On November 3, 1979 he married Barbara Lehmann of St. Anthony. He always referred to Barbara as his "beautiful bride". Kevin and Barbara then resided in Overton, Nevada and Riverton, Wyoming before settling in their home in St. Anthony, Idaho.
Kevin had a very quick wit; he enjoyed telling stories and laughing about his experiences. He had a special gift to find humor in stressful situations. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and camping. A lot of his time was spent laughing and talking with his siblings and their spouses. He enjoyed collecting guns and antiques. Kevin was an honest man and was always willing to help those in need.
Kevin spent many years driving truck, mostly logging. He then became a plumber, in business for himself and later on with Housley Pumps for many years. He would go on to apply his skills in the trades industry as a foreman for many major construction sites.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of St. Anthony; children, Justine (Brock) Yancey of Idaho Falls, Gage (Kimberly) Parker of Boise, Lindley (Taylor) Davis of St. Anthony; his parents, William and Margene; siblings: Kona Smith, Danny Parker, Lori (Norm) Cahoon, Darrin (LauraKay) Parker, Sheralee (Joe) Manley, Tiera Parker, Jade Parker, and eight grandchildren.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Davis residence 2245 E 200 N, St. Anthony. Luncheon will begin at 1:00 pm. All who knew Kevin are invited to attend. BYOB!
