Kim Dawson Summers, 72, passed away at home on May 28th, 2024 from natural causes.
He was born June 7th, 1951 in Rexburg, ID to Roy Summers and LaRee Dawson Winn. He spent a picture-perfect childhood on his family farm playing with his beloved cousins in what he considered to be "God's Country." He worked hard, played hard, and had many memorable adventures on the dirt roads of the farm.
He married Yvonne Crossan on July 9th, 1977 and they were together for many years before eventually divorcing. They had three daughters together who were the pride and joy of his life. He made sure he took every opportunity he could to tell them how much he loved them. He was a man known for enjoying the simple things in life, and frequently reveled in the beauty of an Idaho sunset, grand mountain views (particularly the Tetons), and the sounds of the birds chirping in his trees. He was loved an immeasurable amount and his passing leaves a hole in our hearts that will be hard to fill. He was truly one of a kind.
He is preceded in death by his parents who he has missed greatly. He is survived by his stepmother "The Wicked" Jo Summers, his siblings Gary (Shan) Summers, Bud (Jan) Summers, Sherry (Gerry) Daniel, and his daughters: Nicole (Eli) Peña, Jacque (Reid) Kraft, Becky Lloyd (Josh Frank), and 9 grandchildren: Tyler, Zachary, Alexis, Gracie, and Maya Peña, Griffin and Iyla Kraft, and Harvey and Lincoln Lloyd. He also leaves behind the best friend he could have ever hoped for, Steve Bunnell. He considered himself blessed beyond measure to have so many wonderful people in his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 3rd from 5-7 pm in his beautiful yard. All are welcome to attend. Interment took place at the Sugar City Cemetery.
