Konie Pipes
Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Konie Sue Gardner Pipes, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 in Idaho Falls, ID.

Konie was born to John Anthony Gardner and Crystal Dean Josephson Gardner, on October 15, 1955, in St. Anthony, ID.
She attended local elementary schools and graduated from South Fremont High School in 1974. While in High School she was Student Body Secretary and attended Girl's State in Caldwell, ID. She then attended the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls graduating with an Associates Degree in Medical Transcription.

Konie was employed at various occupation including Valley Bank, the City of St. Anthony and retired from the Targhee / Caribou National Forest after nearly 20 years of service.
On September 12, 1997, she married Michael Jay Pipes in Winnemucca, NV. They were later divorced.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings throughout her life.
Some of Konie's hobbies included card making, writing poetry, reading, movies, shopping, traveling, spoiling her nieces and nephews and spending time with family.

by her parents of St. Anthony, ID; siblings, Sharla Galbraith of Idaho Falls, ID; Kim Gardner of Orem, UT; Toni (Jon) Crapo of St. Anthony, ID; and Kristine (Mike) Sturm of Ashton, ID; brother-in-law Wendell (Annette) Bloom of Parker, ID. She is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews and 34 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Wana Bloom and her sister-in-law Vickie Gardner.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center (247 E. 4th N., St. Anthony, ID.) The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. both at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (P.O. Box 824061, Philadelphia,PA, 19182-4061) or the South Fremont Education Foundation (c/o Val Hammond, 2050 E. 600 N., St. Anthony, ID, 83445.)
