Obituary

Kurtis Lee Taylor, 31, passed away on February 8, 2022, in Rexburg, Idaho. He was born on June 20, 1990, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Ronald "Ron" Taylor and Linda Carol Johnson Taylor. He was the 4th and last child. He moved with his family to Logandale, Nevada in the summer of 1996, and went to school all of his years in Moapa Valley.

From an early age Kurtis was interested in tools and vehicles. If he saw his dad pick up a tool, he was right there with him doing whatever it was he was doing. He also really loved the outdoors. He collected sticks, rocks, nails, whatever he could find of interest. He and his friends spent many hours riding their bikes up "the impossible". They also loved to dig holes in the back yard. Sometimes filling them with water and making mud holes.

He fully enjoyed what his small town was able to offer such as learning to ride bulls and shooting. He earned his eagle at the age of 17 and later graduated Moapa Valley High school in 2008.

Kurtis met his wife Allie Taylor while enrolled at Universal Technical Institute in Avondale Arizona in 2012. They married May 24, 2013 and have three children together. Kurtis and Allie were sealed February 23rd, 2016, in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. They have enjoyed almost 9 years of marriage that took them all over the west side of the United States having lived in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Idaho and Washington.

Kurtis thrived in any career he wanted but enjoyed most any welding and mechanics spending the bulk of his career with BNSF Railway as a Machinist. He loved being able to make a difference by knowing that the locomotives he worked on were safe and that everyone would be able to arrive back to family members. He genuinely loved being able to help those around him, he joked that while he was being "Voluntold" he was still happy to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his parents, Ron and Linda Taylor of Logandale; his son, Keegan Lee Taylor of Clinton, UT; his wife Deborah Allie Milton Taylor, and their children Dustin, Vance, and Zoey of Rexburg, ID; his siblings: Jackie (Richard) Belcher, Kristy (Donald) Jackson, and Joshua (Hanna) Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Bessie Taylor, and Bob and Dolores Johnson.
