Obituary

LaMarr Paul Browning, 73, of Rexburg (Salem), Idaho, son of Leonard and Venice Browning of Sugar City, passed away on May 22, 2021.

LaMarr was raised in Salem, Idaho and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School, after which he enlisted in the US Army, served in the military police, and returned honorably and worked in local law enforcement.  He went on to have a variety of other careers, including the US Census Bureau, and recently was awarded a medal of 20 years of service to his country, due to the combined careers.

He married SanaRae Steel in January 1965, and they had three wonderful boys: Kip Browning (Tracy), Ron Browning, and Jeremy Browning (Rebecca). In July 1968, he married Bonnie Davenport and had his beautiful daughter Fawn Romrell (Cory). Then he met and married Melissa Los in October of 1986, and they raised Jillian Tueller (Stephen), Tristin Browning, Justin Browning, and Traycin Browning.

LaMarr is survived by his wife Melissa, children, 23 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard, grandson Chestyn, and his grandparents, Harold and Ella Poulsen.

The funeral services will be held at the Salem LDS Church on the Salem Highway on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 11AM.  Viewings will be held Wednesday evening, the 26th, 5:30PM to 7PM, at Flamm Funeral Home and Thursday morning, from 10AM to 11AM at the Salem LDS Church. Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral, and be held at the Sugar City Cemetery.
