LaMoyne Parker 83 of Teton City passed away at his home March 4, 2017 surrounded by his family.
LaMoyne was born April 7, 1933 to Louis and Geneva Parker in Teton City, Idaho. He had two younger brothers Darrel (Patsy) Parker, of Idaho Falls, Blair (Marsha) Briggs, of Idaho Falls, and one sister Carolyn (Danny) Quayle of St. Anthony.
He attended School in Teton and St. Anthony, graduating from South Fremont High School. He married Karen Williams in December 1951. They lived their entire 65 years of marriage (Dad would always add "to the same women!") in Teton.
He worked for local Farmers and the Union Pacific Railroad and served as Teton City Marshal. He made his career as a Farmer and worked in potato warehouses in the winter to support his family. He enjoyed fishing hunting and snowmobiling and teaching his 6 kids how to work on the farm.
In the 1980's LaMoyne and Karen enjoyed time traveling some of their destinations were Hawaii - Alaska - Mexico - Australia - France - New Zealand - Puerto Rico - Brazil - Germany -Switzerland - Fiji - Jamaica - Africa (from top to bottom).
For the past 20 years Karen and LaMoyne have relished their daily outings – driving the country roads of Fremont and Madison County, taking in and appreciating our beautiful valley.
LaMoyne is survived by his wife Karen of Teton and six children Nola Jensen of Teton, Louis (Eileen) Parker of Teton, Debbie (Jose) DeLosReyes of Chubbuck, Connie (Sven) Ottesen of Teton, Bryon (Becky) Parker of Sugar City, and Cherrol (Jack) Chiles of Hibbard, 17 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law Dale Jensen and one grandson Skip Ottesen and one great grandson Angel DeLosReyes.
A Graveside service will be held Tuesday March 7, 2017 at the Teton-Newdale-Cemetery at 12:30. Prior to services the family will receive friends and family from 10am – noon at the Teton LDS church in Teton City. Services are under the care of Flamm Funeral Home.
