Obituary

Lance O' Neil Brackenbury, was born on Sept 2, 1959, to Margaret and Phil Brackenbury, in Jerome Idaho. He was the oldest of 3 children, with 1 younger brother and 1 sister. He was an uncle to 4 nieces and 3 nephews.

He attended schools in Fairfield Idaho, where his parents taught school. After Lance graduated from Camas High School, he attended and graduated with an Associates Degree from Rick's Collage, in Rexburg, Idaho. His studies included Physical Education and in Horticulture. He learned to plant trees and he could recall almost everything about living plants. He had a very special "Knack" for Holiday decorating. Christmas was one of his most favorite times of year.

In 1997, he married the love of his life, Brenda Sue Weekes on Aug 2, 1997 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were sealed for Time and All Eternity. 6 years later, we were blessed to bring our beautiful daughter Makaila Sue Brackenbury, into our lives. He is and was a very proud "Papa!"

He has held many jobs in his life time. He worked as a Truck Driver at Deseret Industries, Sun- Glo and Benchmark Potato Warehouses. He worked on his Uncle Bill's Ranch and at Development Workshop in Rexburg, Idaho. His latest job before his passing, was with Artco in Rexburg. He was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He held the Office of a High Priest.

He is survived by his lovely wife Brenda and his beautiful daughter Makaila of Saint Anthony Idaho; his mother and father, of Fairfield Idaho; sister, Cami and brother in law, Rockie of New Medows; brother, Wade and sister in law, L.G. residing in Malaysia; mother in law, Janice Weekes; 3 brothers in law and two sisters in law. Lance passed away on the Feb 25, 2021 at home in St. Anthony.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Anthony 2nd Ward Chapel (145 E. 1st N.) The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N.) and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
