Landon Smith, beloved husband, father, uncle, and brother, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2025, at the age of 26.
Landon was the devoted husband to Michaela Smith and loving father to his precious daughter, Esme Charlotte. Together, they shared a love full of strength, laughter, and deep connection. Landon often said that their love was "The Notebook" kind of love—a love that endured through all of life's challenges.
Landon's greatest joy in life was being a father to Esme. He was always there for her, protecting her with his strength and showing her how deeply she was loved. His bond with his daughter will continue to live on through her, and Michaela will ensure that Esme knows just how incredible her father was.
Landon was known for his giving heart. He always went out of his way to make others feel valued and like they truly mattered. Whether it was lending a hand, offering a kind word, or simply being present, he had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen and loved. His generosity of spirit, selflessness, and ability to make others feel important were qualities that everyone who knew him cherished.
As an uncle, Landon loved nothing more than spending time with his niece and nephews. He was always ready to play, and never refused to play the same game over and over again, no matter how many times they asked. His joy was in making them laugh, creating memories, and being a kid with them. His playful spirit and the time he spent with his family will be remembered with love and affection. Even in passing, Landon continued to give in ways that reflected his selfless nature. He donated his heart to where his journey began, his lungs to someone in Texas, his left kidney and pancreas to someone in Arizona—a rare and remarkable gift, as donating two organs to a single recipient is something rarely seen. His right kidney went to someone in Utah, and his liver to someone in Oregon. Through these gifts, Landon's generosity and love for others continue to live on, touching lives far beyond his own. His courage and selflessness in giving the ultimate gift remind us that the impact of a life well-lived cannot be measured in time alone, but in the love, care, and hope left behind.
The family is facing unexpected financial challenges as Landon did not have life insurance. To help with these unforeseen costs, a GoFundMe has been set up: https://gofund.me/c28beb52a . Any support is greatly appreciated.
A private service will be held to celebrate Landon's life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of Michaela, Esme, and all who knew him.
