Lanore Viola Colledge, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Homestead Assisted Living in St. Anthony, ID.

She was born May 20, 1946 in St. Anthony, ID to Lenard Rees and Amy (Hobbs) Rees. She graduated from high school in 1964 and attended Ricks College, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in education.

On June 2, 1967 she married Ralph Colledge. They had 3 children, Lynne, Sandy, and Louis. They later divorced.

Lanore spent a large portion of her life taking care of others. Her husband, her children, and her friends. She loved people. Her later years were spent taking care of her sister, Alberta, who had M.S. She also did what she could to help her brother-in-law, Cecil. She was always there for her children and grandchildren.

Her love for reading was immense. She also had a love for crochet and shared her work freely. She loved puzzles and adult coloring books. You always knew what she would like to receive as gifts. She was very proud of being a foster grandparent. Going with the children was endlessly entertaining for her.

She is survived in life by her brother, Alvin (Dee Anna) Rees, her sisters Laura (Steve) Hamilton, and Kaye (Doug) Anderson, her children Lynne Peterson (Rob Schmidt), Sandy (Ed) Buchta, and Louis (Stephanie) Colledge, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amy and Lenard, and her sister Alberta.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 at 11AM at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, ID. There will be time to meet with the family for 1 hour prior to the service.
