Obituary

Larry Lee Tuttle passed away at the age of 76 on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Larry was born March 12, 1948, to Samuel Edgar Tuttle and Arlene Loma Malstrom. He grew up in West Jordan, UT, with 7 loving and rambunctious siblings: Jerry, Loma, Sam, Shirlyn, Janeal, Janene, and Jenny Lynn. Some of his fondest memories were riding horses in Callao, an annual outing to Panguitch Lake with his mother's family, and renting a cabin and boat for lots of fishing on Strawberry Reservoir. Every spring, the family would grab a bucket of fried chicken and drive towards Mirror Lake to see how far the road was clear. They would then stop at the snow line and have a picnic and snowball fight.

Larry attended West Jordan schools and graduated from Bingham High School in 1966. He made lifelong friends there and was proud to be a Miner. After high school, Larry served a mission in Texas for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Larry and former spouse Cindy Watterson raised 3 precious sons together: Sean David, Zane Kay, and Brian Craig. Larry was a family man—whether it was attending parent-teacher conferences, church ball games, school plays, or art shows, he was always there.

Larry enjoyed the outdoors. He inherited a love of mining and geology from his father. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Larry also liked to read, and was a better than average barbecuer.

Larry is predeceased by his parents, his brother Jerry, and his grandson Joseph Biggs.

He is survived by his sons: Sean (Shirleen), Zane (Tina), and Brian (Susan); his siblings: Loma Smith, Sam Tuttle, Shirlyn Watson, Janeal (Rick) Bartels, Janene (Jim) Duncan, and Jenny Lynn (Mike) Goodfellow; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandsons.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff of The Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg for their loving care of our brother, father, and grandfather.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, at the Teton LDS Chapel.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.

Services will be streamed at: https://my.gather.app/remember/larry-tuttle-2024
