Obituary

LaTrese Crowell Grover, 89, of Sunnydell, Idaho, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on January 14, 2014.

She was born November 5, 1924, in Chesterfield, Idaho, to Harrison Crowell and Veda Mae Johnson Crowell. She was the second of four children.

LaTrese grew up in the Chresterfield, Bancroft area with beloved family and friends. After graduating from North Gem High School she attended Ricks College where she met Dayton Grover. On February 13, 1946 they eloped to Dillon, Montana. They had been married 58 years when he passed away in 2004.

LaTrese taught school in Madison School District for 26 years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her lifelong passion was her family. She has been an avid fan of her children's sports and activities. She has followed her grandchildren and great grandchildren's events throughout her life.

LaTrese has been know for her exquisite flower and rose gardens. She loved to watch the hummingbirds and butterflies that where attracted to her gardens.

Our beloved LaTrese was a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend.

She is survived by her children; Jerry (Rai) Grover of Sunnydell, Wayne (Vicki) Grover of Hibbard, Beverly (Ed) Fox of Idaho Falls, Mitch (Darla) Grover of Sunnydell; a brother, Elwood (Margaret) Crowell of Salt Lake City; as well as 19 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dayton; her daughter, Judy (2012), her son, Rodney (1976) and 2 brothers, Harrison and Rudy.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18th at the Sunnydell Chapel (201 West 8000 South, Rexburg) with Bishop Matt Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services on Saturday. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
