Laura Catherine "Cathy" Pearson, 70, of Rexburg, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her home after fighting cancer. She was born October 12, 1943 in Washington County, Indiana to Hugh and Marguerete Thompkins.

She is survived by her children, Tammy Pyne of Logan, Utah, Lori Lambright of Rigby, Idaho, Erick Pearson of Sun Valley, Idaho, Ian Pearson of Pendleton, Kentucky, Alfia Griffin of Boise, Idaho, Shad Pearson of Madison, Indiana, Favor Clapp, and Grant Pearson, as well as 6 grandchldren, 17 step-grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Orpha, Mabel, Doris, Hazel, Nellie and William.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 sisters, Almeda Lou, Leona Rose, Mary Kay, Carolyn Jane & Lois Lorraine.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. at the Rexburg Stake Center, on 7th South. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
