Laurel Lee Nelson, 85, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 due to old age, at Carriage Cove in Rexburg, Idaho.

Laurel was a loving wife and mother. When she was a young child her family moved from Illinois to Southern California. She was the oldest of 7 children. At the age of 15 she and her family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a very dedicated member of the church. She served in Sunday School, cub scouts, and primary. She loved the children.

Her family and loved ones called her by her nickname Lolly. She worked at a Bank for many years as a 10 key operator. She was happily married to George Nelson, and had 3 children. Her husband passed away on September 11, 1997. She lived the last 19 years in the home of her daughter Stacey Kunz and son-in-law Frank Kunz. She had artistic abilities, she even painted Christmas windows in the 1970's.

Laurel is survived by her children Del (Francie) Nelson, Stacey (Frank) Kunz; her siblings Sandy (Tim) Jackson, Ricki Fogle, Randi (Karen) Fogle, Kevin (Connie) Fogle, Kory Fogle as well as 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband George Nelson, sister Sharron Dalton, and son Jeff Nelson.

Funeral Services will be held at Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at the East Burton Chapel. Viewing will be held 10:00 am till 10:45 am
