Laurine Christensen, 86, passed away June 2, 2012 at her home in Rexburg, Idaho. She was born September 30, 1925 to Martin and Agnes Weigel in Ellis, Kansas. The family moved to Idaho in 1936. She attended schools in Iona and the Catholic School in Idaho Falls.

She married Merrill William Christensen on October 1, 1952 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

They lived in West Yellowstone, Montana; Mesa, Arizona, and Idaho Falls before settling in Rexburg in 1958. She worked for Roger Bothers in Idaho Falls and Rexburg and the Rexburg Laundry in the 1960's.

She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Rexburg. Her hobbies include her yard and always a big, beautiful vegetable garden.

She is survived by her son, Steven Christensen of Rexburg, a grandson, David (Melanie) Christensen and their children, Zachary and twins, Nathan and Brooklyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away February 25, 1993, and 9 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7th at Flamm Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
