LaVerna B. McMinn, 76, of Parker, died March 9, 2018 in her home.

LaVerna was born December 13, 1941 in Sugar City, Idaho. She was the daughter of Alfred High and Mickey Brower High. She was raised in Saint Anthony, Idaho where she attended school.

She married Fred McMinn on April 16, 1960. They were married for 21 years and later divorced. She later entered a relationship with George Jeffs in 1994 and were together until he passed away in May 2017.

LaVerna lived most of her life in Idaho but did spend a few months living in Washington State. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially watching them fishing in the fish pond. She enjoyed quilting, canning, sewing, cooking, sitting down at her pond and helping others.

She is survived by her children Corina (Rick) Jensen of Parker Idaho, Lloyd (Carol) McMinn of Rexburg Idaho, Ray (Katie Jones) McMinn of Roberts Idaho, Jonathan (Alissa) McMinn of Rigby Idaho, and Amber (James) Mason of Blackfoot Idaho, 27 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, her siblings, Margene Parker, Deanna (Kay) Kremin, Darwin (Pam) High, and Brentley (Cindy) High. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Mickie High, a daughter Tina Rae McMinn, two grandchildren Christopher Nelson and Jacob Gerald Mason.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 15, 2018 at 11:00 in the Parker LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
