Obituary

Heaven has received another angel. Layel Rickie Clark earned his wings December 23, 2015 with his parents by his side. What a happy reunion it must have been as he joined his brothers Chris and Ben and his sister Becky.

Layel was born November 26, 1978 to Rick and Ruth Clark. He was the third of five children.

He grew up in Rexburg where he attended Kennedy Elementary, Madison Jr. High and graduated from Madison High School in 1998. He also attended ISU. During summers while in High School he, worked for the recreation department and during spud harvest for Jim Siddoway. He worked in the rubber stamp department at Artco and at Melaluca as a customer service representative.

Layel loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and being with family and friends. He loved racing and made many special friendships there. Working on cars and restoring them. He never let his wheelchair get In his way of anything. Where there was a will there was a way.

Layel was a fighter beating death several times. He was the son with nine lives finally losing his battle to muscular dystrophy.

He never married but he was the greatest uncle and friend ever. He loved his nieces and nephews very much. He loved watching them play sports and was their biggest fan.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed scouting and his scout leaders. He worked very hard and became an Eagle Scout.

Layel was a very special son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a friend to all. He had a very infectious smile which will be greatly missed. He was very kind and always thought of others. He would give you the shirt off his back and go without so others could have.

He is survived by his parents, brother Russel and his wife Michon, nieces and nephews and grandmothers Shirley Klingler Johnson and Darline Clark.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Chris and Ben and sister Becky; grandfathers Clayne G. Klingler, Junior Arlo Clark and Gene Johnson; cousins Brock Squires, Jason Edie and good friend Boede Paul.
