Lea was born December 18, 1930 in Teton, Idaho to Frank Jay and Mary Ann Jensen Logan. She was welcomed by her older sister Bernell. Lea had wonderful memories of growing up on the family farm, riding the derrick horse, topping beets and helping her father with all the farm tasks.
She attended Fremont County schools and was a proud graduate of South Fremont High School, class of 1949. After graduation Lea attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City accompanied by her lifelong friend Wilma Blanchard.
Lea was accomplished at both shorthand and typing. She was employed as an Executive Secretary for both LDS Social Services in Salt Lake and the Idaho National Laboratory. After her children went to school, she was employed as a paraprofessional by the Sugar-Salem School District.
She met Keith E. Meyers at a wedding reception and they were married a year later, on October 30, 1957. They made their home on the ranch and farm in Plano, where they raised their three children; Cheryl, Lane and Ron. Lea was a dedicated reader and taught her children a love of books and learning.
Lea was an outstanding cook. Many generations of cowboys and hired men enjoyed her delicious meals. She loved all animals, birds and flowers. She was a devoted gardener and bird watcher. In her later years, many hours were spent with binoculars and a bird identification book on the deck of her house, overlooking the Henry's Fork.
She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in many callings including: Relief Society counselor and teacher, Young Women's leader, Primary teacher and as an ordinance worker in both the Idaho Falls and Rexburg Temples.
Lea was preceded in death by her beloved husband Keith, her parents, sister, brothers and sisters-in-law, and a son-in-law, Bryan K. Lusk.
